Barbara Przasnyska
I graduated from Interior Architecture and Furniture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland in 2006. Since then, I have been designing interiors, by translating my Clients stories into space arrangements. I believe that a good project starts with a conversation –sometimes long, full of emotions, visions, and… compromises.
After moving to the UK I have completed various courses at UAL in London. I fell in love with English design and architecture. I draw inspiration from travelling, visiting fairs and exhibitions – from Milan, to Paris, to London and Warsaw – which help me track trends and vibes, which I may use it my designs.
Many of my projects have been published
in interior design magazines.
I have been a member of the Polish Association of Visual Artists since 2007. I have won several awards, including 1st prize at Tubądzin Design Days, which resulted in an inspiring trip to Bologna with Maciej Zień.
“A well-designed space organizes not only things, but also thoughts.”
I love doing things that both relax and inspire me. I paint, create graphic art, sketches. I enjoy exploring – from historic sites rich in stories to modern architecture with surprising form and function. Everything that stimulates my imagination and deepens my awareness, feeds back to my creative work. I also design vegan handbags – combining aesthetics, functionality, and ethics in one meaningful item.
I like people. There are many around me. I believe that a good project is more than collaboration – it’s a relationship, often friendship.
We start with a conversation. This is the moment when you tell me about your dream space. I want to know your needs, lifestyle, expectations and budget.
If possible, we meet in the actual space. I take measurements, make photo documentation, and assess the potential of the interiors.
This involves several rounds of sketching, mood boards and proposals for functional arrangements. This stage is full of inspiration and joint decisions where to go, considering your preferences and any practical constraints, which I share transparently.
Based on the agreed concept, I prepare a set of technical drawings, which will guide contractors in their works. This entails selection and descriptions of material, inventory, and needed amounts. As a part of this stage, you’ll receive 3D visualizations showing the final effect before any works begin.
Products such as tiles, woodwork, ironmongery, furniture, as well as lighting, electricals and any relevant accessories are chosen together. Then I can take care of sourcing, or leave you to it.
I ensure monitoring the of works as they progress, making sure that the team know what to do to deliver on the design. I can also help coordinate deliveries, assembly of furniture, installation and finishing until the very end.
